The Medical University of Graz is the second largest Medical University of Austria with over 2,500 academic and general staff members and around 5,000 students. MUG has a strong track-record in clinical research including coordination and participation in numerous EU-funded projects. The Division of Endocrinology and Diabetology offers extensive outpatient services (diabetes, metabolism and endocrine disorders) and a 21-bed inpatient ward. Research areas of the Division are: design, evaluation and use of diabetes technology incl. software, assessment of risk prediction tools, glucose clamp experiments incl. hypoglycaemic clamps, new pharmaceutical approaches for the treatment of diabetes mellitus, analysis of real-world data, and biomarker research.
